DeKalb County Juvenile Court - Grants and Programs Division

DeKalb County Juvenile Court values the programs offered by The Council on Alcohol and Drugs.  The facilitators are highly skilled and knowledgeable of our juvenile population and the programs do an exceptional job in assisting families in identifying triggers, understanding how drugs and alcohol fuels conflict, and providing avenues to pursue creative attempts for resolution.  We truly appreciate our partnership with The Council.

The single most important aspect of the program is the holistic approach that incorporates parental participation.  Parental involvement is an integral component of early intervention programs and in fostering constructive conflict resolution skills and drug awareness in youth.  It is important for parents to strengthen their skills and awareness so that they can be a positive model and source of support for their children.
