Elizabeth Prieto and the winning poster for the Weed & Seed Poster Contest!

Elizabeth is 10 years old and is a 4^th grade honor roll student at Park Street Elementary School in Marietta, GA.

She attends the Prevention Program for Latino Youth (an after school program) which is an associate program with the Franklin Road Site Weed & Seed.

Elizabeth is one of our outstanding Allstar Drug Free Kids!  Not only is she a budding artist, she is also one of our young leaders and recently acted as co-mistress of ceremony for the Cobb County’s National Youth Service Day Celebration.

Elizabeth enjoys school, reading, helping her mom at home and of course art!

Elizabeth once told me “I love having friends but it’s better to be a friend.”  Thought that was pretty adult for a little girl!

Elizabeth was selected as a winner for Category II.

The prize consists of $500 in gift cards and a Certificate of Excellence.  In addition, she will be recognized at the upcoming CCDO National Conference in Detroit, MI in August.
